Today, in my High Tech Journey to a Linked In World Episode 4 video, I talked about how I bought my first computer in 1987. By today’s standards, it was a dinosaur with two 5.25 inch floppy disk drives (no hard drive!) As time went by, I bought various programs that I could use for both work and pleasure.
Trying new technologies expanded my horizon. It’s like climbing a mountain and seeing for miles in all directions. When you do, you get a sense of the Big Picture. In doing so, your sense of what is possible is greatly expanded. As a result, it changes your outlook on life – or at least, it did for me.
God used this experience to expand my horizon in terms of my three goals: To make disciples, to earn a living doing what I enjoy, and to leave a legacy for my children.
What about you? Have you had those moments in your life that give you new insights into how God might be shaping the path of your journey to help you discover your “mission from God?” Perhaps today’s talk has helped you see how God might be shaping your journey. And, if this idea of identifying your mission from God is of interest to you, then check out the course, Pursuing Your Mission from God.
