Pursuing Your Mission from God – Journey Step #4

January 6, 2022

Today, in my High Tech Journey to a Linked In World Episode 4 video, I talked about how I bought my first computer in 1987.  By today’s standards, it was a dinosaur with two 5.25 inch floppy disk drives (no hard drive!)  As time went by, I bought various programs that I could use for both work and pleasure.

Trying new technologies expanded my horizon.  It’s like climbing a mountain and seeing for miles in all directions.  When you do, you get a sense of the Big Picture.  In doing so, your sense of what is possible is greatly expanded.  As a result, it changes your outlook on life – or at least, it did for me.

God used this experience to expand my horizon in terms of my three goals: To make disciples, to earn a living doing what I enjoy, and to leave a legacy for my children.

What about you? Have you had those moments in your life that give you new insights into how God might be shaping the path of your journey to help you discover your “mission from God?”  Perhaps today’s talk has helped you see how God might be shaping your journey.  And, if this idea of identifying your mission from God is of interest to you, then check out the course, Pursuing Your Mission from God.  Notice I’ve already applied the promo code “wisejargon” to give you 25% off the price of the course.

Thanks so much for joining me for this Journey Step.  Please consider sharing this post with your friends and neighbors.

Until next time, remember that the wise man makes knowledge acceptable (Proverbs 15:2).

Providing Cultural Leadership Via the Viral Loop

A tech savvy millennial generation led by liberal progressives is dominating the something I call the “viral loop.” The concept behind this is very simple: Display an image, meme, or short video with a teaser about more information if you “click on this link.” Clicking on the link takes you to a more in-depth article from a politically left-wing source. You are encouraged to share these sources so that your friends will repeat the process. This is the high-tech equivalent of “word of mouth marketing.” The question is: How do we on the conservative side compete when they seem to be so entrenched in the media culture?
